A Centenary Celebration – 100 years of LCO

In 2021 the London Chamber Orchestra reaches its momentous 100-year anniversary. While this exciting milestone will be commemorated throughout our 20-21 and 21-22 concert seasons, this Centennial Celebration concert will honour a particularly special moment in the orchestra’s history.

Almost 100 years ago to the day, on 11 May 1921, the orchestra performed its very first concert at the home of Lady Nancy Astor, which is now the Naval and Military Club (otherwise known as the In and Out) in St James’s Square, London, under the baton of founder Anthony Bernard. Now in 2021, we will explore the history and future of LCO in a landmark concert performance.

Join us for an extraordinary programme, featuring creative collaborations with many artistic friends both old and new.

LCO’s “A Centenary Celebration” performance also marks the launch of our Centenary Raffle and Centenary Appeal, devised to ensure our post-covid recovery and prosperity into our second century. Follow our social media accounts to keep up to date!
