The Spirit of Champions

Tuesday 26 October, 7.30pm, Cadogan Hall

After 1 year and 7 months of communicating through online concerts, we are extremely excited to announce our first in-person concert – ‘The Spirit of Champions’, with Ruth Rosales presenting and Christopher Warren-Green conducting a thrilling programme including Beethoven’s rousing ‘Eroica’ Symphony. We are delighted to be performing ‘Saffron’ by Freya Waley-Cohen, our 21/22 Composer in Residence. She says,

“It’s a piece that plays with simultaneity and patchworks of juxtapositions. I hear it as being full of bright reds, yellow and oranges, the colours of saffron.”

LCO Together Members can enjoy a pre-concert Q&A at 6.30pm with Freya Waley-Cohen and flautist Karen Jones, and we invite everyone to join us after the concert for a reception with Christopher Warren-Green and LCO musicians. We look forward to seeing you at what is sure to be a very special evening, where we can finally feel the shared human connection of live music.
