LCO commission in touch with the true Olympic spirit
On 22 March 2012, the London Chamber Orchestra will premiere a groundbreaking commission as part of PRS for Music Foundation's New Music 20x12. "Track to Track" brings together a professional orchestra, composer, poet and young people, and was inspired by the 12 minute return journey of the Olympic Javelin Train which runs between St Pancras and Stratford International. Importantly and uniquely, Track to Track involves children from LCO’s education project, Music Junction (refer to notes to editors) in partnership with Barnardo’s, in both its creation and performances.
