Past LCO New: Explore
Inherent to LCO New: Explore is the annual call for scores inviting student composers to write a short work for ten LCO musicians. Through a combination of an informal study day and open rehearsal and concert, the scheme aims to demystify contemporary music, affording new and existing audiences the confidence to try a new listening experience. A selection of these works are chosen to be performed, recorded, and published by LCO.
