Christia Hudziy

Christia was born in the Ukraine and studied piano from 1990 to 1998 at the Special Music School in Lviv. At 14 she was a prize-winner at the Ukrainian ‘Young Talents’ competition in Kiev and subsequently was awarded a presidential scholarship. In 1999 she won the 1st prize Alfred Roussel scholarship and was selected to play at the Cortot Hall in Paris and to take part in the first l’Art de l’Enfance festival. During her studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, she was supported by the Lili and Nadia Boulanger Foundation. In 2004 Christia entered the ‘advanced cycle’ of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon, studying with Géry Moutier. In 2008 she won the International Yamaha scholarship and was a finalist at the Concertgebouw chamber music competition (Amsterdam). 

Since September 2008 she has studied with Abdel Rahman El Bacha at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel and has benefited from an InBev-Baillet Latour scholarship. Christia is regularly invited to perform at festivals in France and abroad.
