DIRECTIONS TO St JOHN’S, SMITH SQUARE
Underground - Westminster, St. James's Park (District, Circle & Jubilee lines) and Victoria (District, Circle & Victoria lines)
Buses - 3, 87 to Millbank (Lambeth Bridge); C10, 507 (limited hours) to Horseferry Road (Lambeth Bridge); 88 to Marsham Street; 11, 211, 148 & 24 to Westminster Abbey

PARKING
St. John's is within the congestion charge zone (in operation Monday-Friday 7am-6pm). Parking meters and Residents Parking are in operation during the day Monday-Saturday until 6.30pm. In the evenings and weekends there is usually ample space locally. There is NCP parking in Greencoat Place.
Coaches are able to draw up right next to the concert hall for drop off and pick up purposes on the Horseferry Road side. Otherwise, on-street coach parking bays are free after 6.30pm and the closest bays to St. John’s, Smith Square are:
North of the River
*Tothill Street SW1 (6 bays)
*Park Lane SW1 (17 bays)
*Victoria Embankment SW1 (11 bays)
*Millbank SW1 (9 bays)
*Marsham Street SW1 (4 bays)
South of the River (in Lambeth)
Either Hercules Road or Albert Embankment.
ACCESS
Unfortunately there is no lift for customer use at St John’s, Smith Square. The concert hall is currently trying to raise money to improve access, but the results are unlikely to be forthcoming for another 5 years or so. There are 14 steps to access the concert hall from the street and then access to the Footstool restaurant is down a spiral staircase.
DINING
St. John’s, Smith Square has its own Footstool restaurant beneath the concert hall in the crypt. It opens from 5.30pm on weekdays and it is possible to reserve an area for your party and choose menu options in advance. The telephone number to organise this is 020 7222 2779.
There are also other eating options locally to the concert hall, including a Pizza Express on Millbank (about 5 minutes walk away) and a highly recommended Chinese restaurant on Horseferry Road which offers an ‘All you can eat’ menu for £6 and is about 100 metres from the concert hall.
