Eradicating poverty, not just in an economic sense, but also culturally should be our first priority. There is no doubt that music makes a lasting difference to people's lives which reaches beyond the concert hall. In 09/10 you will see LCO continue to reach out through new and continuing important charitable associations and with creative education initiatives. Through LCO performances, LCO Kids, LCO New, and in our unique partnership with Barnardo's, we will foster that difference.

Your continued support, even as a member of our audience is vital - vital to our performance and vital to our future. I would like to extend my thanks to all our supporters and to our cherished LCO musicians; together we endeavour to create exciting and inspiring performances. It is this alchemy of support and passion for performance which makes LCO one of the most distinctive orchestras in the world.
