Call for Scores pilot scheme 07/08

20th May 2008 - Workshop at Trinity College of Music
21st May 2008 - Concert at St. John's, Smith Square

Thank you to all who participated and attended LCO's pilot contemporary music scheme!

Over the two days audiences shared a detailed exploration of undergraduate and postgraduate composers’ music with composer Graham Fitkin, Gregory Rose, LCO musicians and Christopher Warren-Green.  Soloist Pekka Kuusisto also made a star appearence, sharing his thoughts about the future of music, its philosophy and worth.

The following 4 composers were selected for world-premiere performances of their work at St. John's, Smith Square:

Philip Ashworth Big G

The following 4 composers were those additionally workshopped at Trinity College of Music.

Kevin Plattner Anemone Waltz

All 8 compositions were recorded by Sussex University Tonmeister Stewart Holmes.
